A New Method For Eliminating Clutter
// October 6th, 2011 // Something Different
At some point we all take a look around our homes and declare war on our clutter. There are endless ways to tackle this, but not all are thorough enough to place you where you want to be at the end of a de-cluttering session. Should you take the time and put forth the effort to tidy things up, and then feel as though you did not meet your underlying goal you may have an even harder time getting motivated to ever do this work again.
That is why you should select the best program you can find to implement when eliminating the clutter in your home. For me, the method is as folliows. I pull out a notebook, grab a pen and walk through each room assessing what each is used for, or better yet, what it is supposed to be used for. Often there is a struggle between the intended purpose of a room, and what it ultimately is used for.
Identify whether you need to accept that the space is being used for activities you had not anticipated. If so, face this fact, but eliminate all the things left that do not fall into any of the acceptable purpose categories. Obviously, if the room is being used for things that should be conducted elsewhere, and there is an actual acknowledged space for that/those activities immediately relocate those items to the other area. Everything else goes bye bye.
