Menu for Our Christmas Carol Evening
// November 11th, 2011 // Must Try
Though I have been wanting to assemble a group of friends and family to go carolling for several years running, this is the year I am going to make it happen. The part I had not thought through was that once I have everyone gathered at my house, I need to get them into the festive spirit. This means a little pre-party, and requires a menu. After all we want the singers in top form, and that means well fed and watered.
I started off with a menu that was premade by a fellow carol maker, and conformed it to the tastes of my choir members. We will have a menagerie of tasty treats
- Smoked salmon platter and fennel salad
- Crudites with buttermilk and crab dip
- Mini pot pies
- Mulled wine
Upon our return:
- Fresh baked ginger snaps
- Classic Eggnog
Now that I have that sorted, I am really getting excited. Plenty to look forward this holiday season!
